Hey my name is Paulina Moreno and I'm in twelve grade at Fort Lauderdale High School. I was born in a city called Monterrey in the state of Nuevo Leon in Mexico. I lived there for about five years before moving to Georgia. I lived in Georgia for about ten years, the place where I did most of my growing up. I was a little girl, living in a brand new country, having to learn a lot. I had to learn a new language and adapt to a new culture. Sure, it was tough to change my way of living, but I had a lot of amazing and fun experiences along the way. Honestly the American culture is really interesting. Style and fashion changes all the time. Trends change all the time. Slang in the language changes all the time. Music changes all the time. After ten years of living in Georgia, I moved to Florida. This meant starting all over in a brand new place. Again, I knew I could adapt to a new place. Even though I had done it before, I still had one issue: making new friends isn't very easy in high school. I suffered for about a year until I found people that I loved hanging out with. I have now been living in Florida for about two years and I have never been happier. Everything I have experienced in the past has made me into the person I am today. My life is kind of like a movie, there's many ups and downs that shape the character into the person they are. That's why I'm taking Media Studies. I want to learn how movies are created and all the different things that are incorporated into the film industry.
