Planning for the final task: sound script & shooting script

Sound Script

Scene 1:

- No dialogue.

Scene 2: 

- Alex: "What is that? This has to be a joke right?"

Scene 3:

- Mom: "Hey Alex, how was the drive?" 

- Alex: "It was good, but wait, when I got home I saw a 'For Sale' sign. Is it the neighbor's? Cause they literally put it on our side of the grass."

- Dad: "Yeah, we were going to talk to you about that today. I got a new job and now we're moving to Georgia." 

- Alex: "OMG you're kidding right?"

- Mom to Dad: "I had a feeling she was going to react that way."

Scene 4:

- Alex: "Mom, I'm meeting up with Ava at the beach, I'll be back later."

- Mom: "Okay, drive safe."

Scene 5:

- No dialogue.

Scene 6:

- Ava: "OMG Hey!" 

- Alex: "Hey Ava!!"

- Ava: "So Alex, you're seriously moving away from me?"

- Alex: "Yeah, I don't even know what I'm going to without you. I wanted to ask you about something. So you know how I've literally liked Noah for so long but I've never told him right?"

- Ava: "Haha yeah"

- Alex: "So I think I want to tell him how I feel before I move. Like I just can't keep hiding my feelings any longer." 

- Ava: "Yeah, I honestly think you should tell him because you're literally moving and if he doesn't feel the same way about you, it's not going to really matter because your friendship is going to change one way or another."

- Alex: "Ok, I'm going to do it."

Scene 7:

- Alex: "Okay, I'm going to meet up with Noah in a few minutes, so I'm gonna go. We'll hang out again soon alright?" 

- Ava: "Okay, text me how it goes."  

Scene 8:

- No dialogue.

Scene 9:

- Alex: "Hey, what's up?

- Noah: "Nothing we just haven't hung out in a while"

- Alex: "Yeah, that's why I wanted to meet up cause I have something I want to talk to you about."

- Noah: "Haha okay let's sit down."  

Scene 10:

- Noah: "So, what's been going on?"

- Alex: "So apparently, my dad got a new job and now I'm moving to Georgia in a few weeks."

- Noah: "Oh wow, they didn't even give you a warning or anything, that sucks."

- Alex: "Yeah foreal. But like I obviously want to continue to talk to you and I'll come down to visit all the time."

- Noah: "Yeah, you better!"

- Alex: "Apart from that, I also wanted to tell you something else that I've been keeping to myself for a while. Okay, I'm just going to say it out loud but you can't freak out. "I've had feelings for you for a really long time now, but I've been too scared to tell you."

- Noah: "Oh wow..."

- Alex: "I told you not to freak out omg!"

- Noah: "No, I'm not freaking out, I just never thought you were going to say that. I guess I can finally do this..."

- Alex: "Well what are we supposed to do now?"     


Shooting Script

Scene 1:

- Alex drives down the beach in her car. 

- She turns up the music.

- She looks out the window at the beautiful beach.

- Non-diegetic sound: Upbeat song fades in.

- Lighting: Bright, colorful, natural lighting.

Scene 2: 

- Alex drives up to her parking spot at home.

- She sees a "For Sale" sign outside and is confused.

- She gets out of her car and walks inside the gate.

- She uses her keys to open the front door and walks inside. 

- Non-diegetic sound: upbeat music fades out. 

- Diegetic sound: Alex is confused by the "For Sale" sign.

- Lighting: Natural lighting.  

Scene 3:

-Alex walks inside her apartment

- She starts questioning her parents about the sign. 

- Her parents tell her that they are all moving to Georgia in a few weeks. 

- Super upset, she walks into her room and shuts the door. 

- Diegetic sound: Alex's conversation with her parents. 

- Lighting: Natural lighting.  

Scene 4:

- Alex begins to pack her clothes and things into boxes.

- She texts her friend Ava to meet up at the beach. 

- Non-diegetic sound: Sad music fades in and then out.  

- Lighting: Natural lighting.  

Scene 5:

- Alex gets in her car and drives to the beach to meet up with her friend Ava.

- Non-diegetic sound: Driving music plays again.  

- Lighting: Natural lighting.  

Scene 6:

- She talks to Ava about how she has to move. 

- She also talks to her about a problem that she has. She has liked her friend Noah for a long time now, but she was super afraid to tell him because she felt like it would ruin her friendship.

- She asks Ava if she should tell him or not. 

- Ava tells her how she should tell him because if he doesn't like her back, she's still going to end up moving, so their friendship will obviously change either way.  

- Diegetic sound: Conversation with Ava. 

- Lighting: Natural lighting.   

Scene 7:

- While walking with Ava for a while, Alex decides she should text Noah and ask to meet up. 

- Noah says yes, and Alex says goodbye to Ava.  

- Diegetic sound: Conversation with Ava. 

- Lighting: Natural lighting.   

Scene 8: 

- Alex gets in her car. 

-Before driving to meet up with Noah, she looks at pictures she has with Noah and how they've had an amazing friendship.  

- Non-diegetic sound: Fun memory music fades in. 

- Lighting: Natural lighting.   

Scene 9:

- Alex drives up to the parking garage and she walks up to Noah. 

- Noah and Alex hug.  

- Lighting: Natural lighting.   

Scene 10:

- Both of them take a seat on the ground. 

- They start to talk about how Alex is moving.

- Alex tells Noah how she's liked him for a while and how she wants to be with him. 

- He tells her how he likes her too.

- They kiss and then she asks him what they're supposed to do now.  

- Diegetic sound: Conversation with Noah. 

- Lighting: Natural lighting.

TiK ToK (Music Video)

"TiK ToK"  For the music video project, I was actually really excited, but I had many questions. What song am I going to choose? How do I want to film it? Do I want more people in the video or just myself? What would I wear in the video? What props would I use? I had many more questions but I had to think quickly. I ended up choosing a song called "TiK ToK" by Kesha. I chose this song because I needed to choose a song that I knew the lyrics to, and I can never go wrong with a 2000s song. I posted my intro blog on November 13th. This blog was all about my song choice and if I was planning to film with anyone else. Then a few days later I started researching the pop music genre. I posted my research blog on November 16th. The day after, I posted my planning blog. This blog was about my filming schedule, my props, and my costumes. Production Blog: Filming is complete, now continuing to edit

These past few days have been really productive in regards to my film. I finished filming all of my remaining scenes over the past two days. I did this on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, I went to the beach to film the driving scenes. I have a couple scenes that take place in my car, so I had to film a lot of angles and views. I went to the beach with my mom, because some of the clips don't take place inside of the car. She drove my car, while I filmed. She doesn't know how to film, so since the clips were from far away, you can't tell who's driving the car. On Wednesday, I filmed the scenes that take place at my house. Either in the driveway or inside. I was waiting until Wednesday to film these scenes because I didn't have the props for them until earlier this week. I used a cardboard box for one scene. For this scene, I had to be packing up my clothes, to represent my packing for the move. In another scene, I used a "for sale" sign in my driveway. Th...
