Genre Decision Blog

For my final task, I decided to film something in the genre of drama. Being a teenage girl, I feel like a drama would relate more to me and my lifestyle. Yes, I'm a very dramatic person. I'm also a hopeless romantic, so I always love watching romantic drama movies and shows. I love the idea of showing a love story between two people, and everything that happens in between. Not all relationships are the same, and none of them are perfect. Drama films are always the most realistic and natural films to watch. They represent real experiences and conflicts that individuals actually go through and can relate to. I also really like how large the drama film industry is. A drama can involve crime, history, romance, and more. Dramas are the most relatable in my opinion, and there's always something for everyone and anyone to watch within the genre. I tend to watch more romantic dramas because I love romance and love. The idea that one person can make someone so happy and feel so loved is such a beautiful concept to me. I've never been a big fan of action movies either. I guess it's because I'm super girly, but I've never been a big fan of violence and weapons. I don't like how everything is always destroyed. I also wouldn't like to film a comedy. I love watching comedies, but I feel like I wouldn't be able to film a good one. I'm a funny person, but I could never film a comedy. Overall, I believe that my choice to film a romance drama will work well and will result in a good film.

TiK ToK (Music Video)

"TiK ToK"  For the music video project, I was actually really excited, but I had many questions. What song am I going to choose? How do I want to film it? Do I want more people in the video or just myself? What would I wear in the video? What props would I use? I had many more questions but I had to think quickly. I ended up choosing a song called "TiK ToK" by Kesha. I chose this song because I needed to choose a song that I knew the lyrics to, and I can never go wrong with a 2000s song. I posted my intro blog on November 13th. This blog was all about my song choice and if I was planning to film with anyone else. Then a few days later I started researching the pop music genre. I posted my research blog on November 16th. The day after, I posted my planning blog. This blog was about my filming schedule, my props, and my costumes. Production Blog: Filming is complete, now continuing to edit

These past few days have been really productive in regards to my film. I finished filming all of my remaining scenes over the past two days. I did this on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, I went to the beach to film the driving scenes. I have a couple scenes that take place in my car, so I had to film a lot of angles and views. I went to the beach with my mom, because some of the clips don't take place inside of the car. She drove my car, while I filmed. She doesn't know how to film, so since the clips were from far away, you can't tell who's driving the car. On Wednesday, I filmed the scenes that take place at my house. Either in the driveway or inside. I was waiting until Wednesday to film these scenes because I didn't have the props for them until earlier this week. I used a cardboard box for one scene.
