My final task is called "No Matter the Distance". The film is about a girl named Alex, who finds out that she's moving, but has a secret that she can't keep to herself. She's liked her best friend Noah for quite a while now, but she was worried that if she told him, their friendship would never be the same again. The first two minutes of the film (what I am submitting) are about Alex finding out that she's moving, asking her friend Ava for advice, and then finally telling Noah how she feels. The end of the two minutes is the cliffhanger, where Noah kisses Alex, and they must now figure out what they should do from there. These past few days have been really productive in regards to my film. I finished filming all of my remaining scenes over the past two days. I did this on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, I went to the beach to film the driving scenes. I have a couple scenes that take place in my car, so I had to film a lot of angles and views. I went to the beach with my mom, because some of the clips don't take place inside of the car. She drove my car, while I filmed. She doesn't know how to film, so since the clips were from far away, you can't tell who's driving the car. On Wednesday, I filmed the scenes that take place at my house. Either in the driveway or inside. I was waiting until Wednesday to film these scenes because I didn't have the props for them until earlier this week. I used a cardboard box for one scene. Over the weekend, I received my second dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine. I had my first dose about three weeks ago, and I was just a bit sore. With the second dose, I actually had some symptoms. I had similar symptoms when I had COVID-19. I had a fever, a horrible headache, and a super sore body. So this weekend I couldn't really go anywhere or do anything. Although this weekend wasn't very productive, today was. Today, Monday, April 12th, was a productive day in my opinion. I began to attach my titles to my film onto the parts that were edited already. I also went to the store to buy a moving box for one of my scenes. I also bought a "for sale" sign for another scene. I have two scenes left to film, which are the ones that involved the props that I needed to buy. Tomorrow, I hope to film those two scenes, because I just need to be home to film them. I should definitely clean my bedroom before filming the packing box scene though. I'm also thinking of redoing my drivi...

In the past three days, I haven't filmed anything new yet. It's ok because I edited what I had already filmed. I had already edited a few scenes about a week ago, but I had filmed new scenes this past weekend. I had a total of four scenes to edit. The scenes that I had filmed over the weekend were scenes six, seven, nine, and ten. In scene six, Alex meets up with Ava at the beach. I actually had to change the location due to other factors, so instead of the beach, it was on the roof of a parking garage. In this scene, Alex asks Ava for advice on if she should tell Noah how she really feels about him or not. Scene seven was also with Ava and Alex. They're in a different part of the parking deck, and Alex texts Noah to see if he wants to meet up later to talk. Ava and Alex say goodbye to each other and Alex gets in her car. In scene nine, the location changes. This is the scene where Alex meets up with Noah. They greet each other and hug, then walk over to sit and talk togeth...

Yesterday, April 4th, was Easter Sunday. You would think that on a day like that, no one would do any work, but that wasn't the case with me. Earlier in the week, I had planned to meet up with my friends Skyler and Paul. They are both acting in my movie, and their scenes were some of the last ones that I needed to get done. Skyler plays the character, Ava, in my film. Paul's role is the character of Noah. On Sunday, I met up with Skyler at around 3 pm. I met up with Paul at around 6 pm on the same day. I did have to make some changes to the locations at which we filmed for all of my scenes. Since other states are having their spring breaks right now, the beach was super packed, which meant I had to switch locations to film with Skyler. We switched from the beach to the roof of a brand new parking garage. I think the switch in locations was actually a very good idea. We filmed using different angles too. In the past three days, I did not film. I didn't plan on filming either, so it's not like I went off of my schedule. These three days were the ending days of the third quarter of school, so I was getting a lot of homework done. I had to take tests, do homework assignments, and even a few projects for other classes. I'm working during the week too, which is why I've been so busy. My plan still remains the same, to film this Sunday. On April 4th, I will meet up with my friend Paul, who plays Noah, and film both scenes that include him. This will be around 5 pm on Sunday. Also on Sunday, I'm meeting up with my friend Skyler, who is playing the role of Ava. I will meet up with her before meeting with Paul. It will be around 2 or 3 pm if everything works out. I'm cutting it really close with the filming, but I believe that I will get it all done. I also still have to film one scene, and also one part of a scene. During the week of March 22nd to March 26th, I filmed a few scenes for my film. I filmed scenes one, five, and eight. In scene one, the character that I play, Alex, drives in her car by the beach. In scene five, Alex is driving again, but this time it's to meet up with her friend, Ava. In scene eight, Alex sits in her car looking at pictures of her crush, Noah, on her phone. The scenes that I was unable to film that I had planned to film were scenes two and four. In scene two, she drives up to her house and sees a for-sale sign. In scene four, Alex packs up a few of her things into a box. I didn't get to film those scenes because of the necessary props. I needed a "For Sale" sign for scene two. I also needed a packing box for scene four. So far, I've finished filming four scenes. I filmed the two scenes that involved my parents. These past few days have been very difficult for me and my filming schedule. I wanted to film a few more scenes, but I was unable to do that. Considering that it was the week before spring break, I had a lot of homework and tests. Two of my actors couldn't film this week either, because of all of the work we were assigned for other classes. It's ok though because I myself won't be going anywhere for spring break. I have an entire week to film most of the scenes. Two of my actors, Ava and Noah, will not be filming during spring break, because they will be traveling. In total, I have ten scenes in my film. Two of them have already been filmed and edited. Four of them include my two actors, Noah and Ava. This means that I only need to film four scenes during an entire week. I think I will be able to accomplish this because those four scenes are of me and only me. One scene also has a part of only me, so I can film it too. In the past few days, I have been able to make some progress on my film. I filmed the scenes with my parents. In the film, both of my parents play Alex's parents. They are in two scenes total. They are in scenes three and four. In scene three, Alex confronts her parents about the "For Sale" sign in her front yard. She's very puzzled by it in the second scene. So, in scene three, she comes inside her apartment. Her parents greet her, but she's not into it. She immediately changes the subject. She asks if the sign outside is the neighbor's or if it is actually for them. They tell her that it's there's and that they're going to move soon. She's literally so surprised because she didn't even know her dad was looking for a different job. She stormed out of the living room and went into her room. The next scene is scene four. The past few days have not been working in my favor. I was planning on filming more scenes for my film, but that didn't work at all. I was talking to my friend Skyler, who plays "Ava" in my film, about when would be a good time for us to get together and film the scenes that she's in. She let me know that she had a lot of work for school and her job this week. She told me that next week would probably work better for her. I told her it was fine because she's only in two or three scenes. When we do get together to film, I plan for it to only take maybe just one hour. I also spoke to Paul, who plays "Noah", about when he would be able to film. He's always been a very busy person, so I wasn't too surprised when he let me know that he wasn't going to be able to film this week. This past weekend, I made it a goal to begin filming. I kind of achieved it. I filmed the first few scenes of the film. This included scenes two, three, and four. In scene two, Alex pulls up to her apartment. She sees a "For Sale" sign and is really confused. In scene three, Alex walks inside her apartment and is greeted by her parents. They tell her that she's moving to Georgia soon and that she needs to start packing her things. Super upset, Alex runs into her room and the scene ends. In scene three, Alex is packing a few of her things into moving boxes. She then texts her friend Ava to see if she wants to meet up at the beach. The scene ends with Alex telling her mom that she'll be gone for a bit. I filmed these three scenes over the weekend, but only as a rough draft. It was a lot of trial and error. This week, I planned and planned and planned. I created my scripts for what my actors were going to say, and what will occur in each scene. The lines are in the sound script. The scenes are described in the shooting script. I also decided on which locations I wanted to film in. I carefully chose all of my actors and who was going to help me film. I also drew out my entire storyboard for what will happen in each scene. I will have a total of ten scenes. Each scene will range from five seconds to up to thirty seconds. Some scenes will take place in my car, some in my apartment, some at the beach, and then the final scene will take place at the top of a parking garage.
